The Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS) is located in Copenhagen, the capital, seat of the Danish Monarchy, and largest city of Denmark. DIS is affiliated with the University of Copenhagen and classes are taught by Danish faculty in English. DIS offers a wide range of courses to fit all academic majors and minors. DIS is also financially supported by the Danish Government and is affiliated with over 170 institutions throughout the world. Since its founding in 1959, DIS has welcomed over 27,000 international students to Copenhagen. Students can chose to spend a semester, an academic year, or a summer in Copenhagen. Financial Aid Students participating in the DIS program may only take state and federal financial aid; however, DIS offers their own scholarships.
