Kansai-Gaidai University is located in Hirakata City near Osaka, which is the second largest Japanese city. Kansai Gaidai was founded in 1945 and has grown tremendously since than. Today, Kansai Gaidai is affiliated with over 280 colleges and university’s world wide and sends approximately 1,400 of its students abroad yearly. Kansai-Gaidai offers courses to fulfill requirements for an East Asian Studies concentration. Students may choose to study at Kansai for a semester or an entire academic year.
